An annual spring hike has raised tens of thousands of dollars in support of end-of-life care at the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
The sixth annual Hike for Hospice has raised over $128,700, which will ensure the local hospice can continue to provide families compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.
“We are always impressed with the dedication of our hikers to supporting hospice residents and their families,” said Randi Bokor Caron, special event chair for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation Board of Directors. “It was touching to once again see Mud Creek Trail lined with signs memorializing those loved and lost.”
Participants collected pledges for the event throughout the spring and were encouraged to hike at Mud Creek Trail, or anywhere else they liked, between April 25-May 1.
