Chatham-Kent resident Emily Hime is relaunching Hime for Help, a project she started to help Haitian children.
Hime says she’s looking at the long term sustainability of the program, and wants to raise $40,000.
“I was contacted about a group of kids in the countryside – they didn’t have any beds, they were struggling for food and medical care and all those things. I urgently went down [to Haiti] with my friend Montana and committed to helping for a few months to get things going, and here we are 5 years later”, says Hime.
Information on how to donate to her cause can be found on on the Hime for Help website.
