Crowfest is flocking back to the streets of downtown Chatham for the fifth year.
This year’s festivities include live music, vendors, interactive art installations, the annual costume contest, and buskers entertaining the crowd throughout the downtown core.
Crowfest, which has been named one of Ontario’s Top 100 Festival and Events for 2026, brings fun for all ages.
Everything kicks off Wednesday, September 16 with The Great Canadian Dueling Pianos, followed by Thursday’s high-stakes attempt to reclaim the World’s Largest Caesar Cocktail record, hoping to craft 1260 litres of Canada’s favourite cocktail. A previous record, 588 litres, was set during the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo, held in Pain Court in 2018, but was broken by a distillery in Saskatchewan the following year with a 750 litre Caesar.
Buskers, entertaining the crowd throughout the downtown core, will also be working to break a number of World Records of their own, including the most rolls of a football behind the neck while juggling in a minute, highest fireball blown from standing, and the most animal traps set off on a human body in one minute.
Friday brings neon lights for the free all-ages “Crow Glow” street party, leading into Saturday’s costume contest, interactive art installations, and more busker performances.
