The 7th annual Hike for Hospice is taking place at Mud Creek Trail in Chatham this weekend.

It’s the first in-person walk for the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation since before the pandemic, although participants also had the option of walking on their own time earlier this week.

Sunday’s event begins at noon and includes live entertainment from the local band Deep Southwest.

Last year’s virtual walk raised over $128,700 dollars.

All funds raised support the day-to-day operations of the 10-bed Chatham-Kent Hospice, which offers end of life care at no cost to families, but requires $121,000 in donations each month.
