“Hockey Fights Cancer” is coming to Chatham-Kent

Hockey Fights Cancer is coming to Chatham-Kent this November.

Founded in 1998 by the National Hockey League(NHL) and the National League Players’ association(NHLPA)

Gerry Harvieux, community fundraising specialist with the Canadian Cancer Society’s(CSS) Chatham-Kent branch encourages the local hockey community to back Hockey Fights Cancer like never before.

The organization has garnered more than 20 million dollars to assist children’s hospitals, player charities, local/national research institutions and other charities across Canada and the United States in the fight against cancer.

Proceeds raised will provide Canadians living with cancer – a road to treatment, a home away from home and system of support.
