A celebration for Kraft Hockeyville!
Community organizers for Chatham-Kent’s Kraft Hockeyville campaign are planning a “Bash at the Barn” event on Saturday at Chatham’s Memorial Arena. This family friendly, alcohol free event leads up to the announcement of the winner of the nationwide Kraft Hockeyville competition. Fans should arrive by 5:30pm to be part of the Hockey Night in Canada live telecast.
Everyone can register for a 3 on 3 FUN Hockey Tournament at 12:30pm. The tournament itself will start at 1:00pm. Pony rides, a petting zoo, and face painting will entertain the kids from 1:00pm-4:00pm. Throughout the day, there will be entertainment by local music artists including Brooklyn Roebuck, Face 4 Radio, Ryan Bradley and The Chasers. A hockey skills competition and clinic will run from 3:30pm until 5:15pm.
Snow cones and cotton candy will be handed out to anyone who brings in a Kraft product for donation to Outreach for Hunger.
Chatham’s Kraft Hockeyville bid has already secured $100,000 in upgrades for Memorial Arena. A first place win would also secure an NHL preseason game for Chatham-Kent.
