Holiday Cookies Helping Tilbury Residents In Need

A festive fundraiser will help more local charities.

The inaugural Tim Hortons holiday Smile Cookie campaign kicks off next Monday.

Funds raised through the purchase of holiday cookies at the Tim Hortons on Mill Street in Tilbury will be donated to the Tilbury Information & HELP Centre.

The holiday campaign is a spin on the annual Tim Hortons Smile Cookie campaign, with a white-chocolate sugar cookie that has red and green sprinkles baked into it. This is the first time the donut franchise has run a fundraising cookie campaign during the holiday season.

Operated by the United Way of Chatham-Kent, the Tilbury Information & HELP Centre serves more than 200 clients each month providing food and resources including seasonal, office, administrative, and government and agency service navigation.

Proceeds from cookie sales at restaurants in Chatham, Dresden, and Wallaceburg will support Pet and Wildlife Rescue.
