Home Prices WAY Up

Home sales were off last month, down about 10% from February last year.

That’s according to the Chatham-Kent Association of REALTORS®.

All told 67 home traded hands, with an average price of $250,000.

According to Steve Carroll, President of the Chatham-Kent Association of REALTORS, “Sales activity cooled in February following an extremely strong end to 2018 and a decent January,” says Carroll.

“That said, it’s hard to say how much of these fluctuations in sales are a demand story and to what extent they’re a supply story, because the number of listings out there for buyers to choose from remains historically very low”

Combined with January numbers, 140 homes have been sold with an average price of almost $234,000, an increase of 32% over last year.
