Hometown Hockey Comes to CK

The NHL is coming to Chatham-Kent.

The municipality has made the cut for Rogers’ Hometown Hockey tour with a stop in December.

“Returning for a fifth cross-country adventure, the free family-friendly hockey celebration features two days of live entertainment, NHL alumni, local celebrities and hockey-themed activities for all ages. Running from Saturday through to Sunday evening, the festival culminates with an outdoor viewing party of a national NHL game broadcast hosted live by Ron MacLean and Tara Slone on Sportsnet.”

Chatham-Kent is one of 25 communities to host festivities through the 2018-19 season with family-friendly events planned for December 15th and 16th.

The game, featuring the Winnipeg Jets and Tampa Lightning, and local festivities will be broadcast nation-wide on Sportsnet.
