It’s a big week for agriculture in Chatham-Kent.

On Tuesday, four names were added to the Kent Agriculture Hall of Fame for their contributions to the ag-sector and farming community. Ron Anderson, Doug Arbour, Bob and Diane Devolder, and Kay Quinton were recognized during a ceremony at Hidden Hills Golf and Country Club.

Meantime, more Chatham-Kent residents will be honoured tonight with the 77th annual Rural Urban Awards to be handed at the John D. Bradley Convention Centre.

Hosted by the Chatham-Kent Chamber of Commerce, the awards will be handed out to four recipients, including Youth Agriculturist of the Year Hanna Reid, Agriculture Innovator of the Year Devolder Farms, Agriculturist of the Year Jim Campbell, and Friend of Agriculture Anne Verhallen.

The awards ceremony will begin with a reception, followed by dinner and the awards program at 7 p.m.
