Chatham’s Hope Haven has been struggling to provide their services during this time of a pandemic.
They have persevered through difficulty and are opening their Out of the Cold Warming Centre again this year during extreme cold weather alerts.
The centre provides a place to keep warm, and such things as a bowl of soup and something to drink.
They can also act as a safe place for people and families that are newly or chronically homeless.
They operate 3 days a week from 10 am until 2pm but hope to expand services as the weather gets colder.
They are in great need for volunteers.
