Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope is looking back at 2017 as an economic success.
Hope says he’d give it an 8/10.
“If you look at the communities across Chatham-Kent, everyone is expanding. Current businesses are expanding as well. Job opportunities in the last half of the year are up – employers were looking for up to 500 employees. They’re still looking for employees now, and most of our plants are full”, says Hope.
Hope also says the number of people working totals about 50,000, or half of all residents.
