Mayor Randy Hope’s 2016 expenses have been released – including the cost of his international travel. 
Hope says though many may think he travels overseas a lot, but really it works out to about the same in comparison to his local trips.
“What I do in the community compared to what I do internationally, they don’t even compare,” Hope says. “”You hear people saying ‘If the mayor wouldn’t travel, wouldn’t do this, wouldn’t do that, we could use all that money.’ It’s not all that money.”
Hope spent a little over $9000 on local travel last year, and $10,000 on international travel.
