The Chatham-Kent Hospice wants local residents to know more about its organization and services.
Executive Director of the Hospice Foundation, Jodi Maroney, says she answered a lot of questions at their Community Impact Open House last night.
“A lot of it is around how we’re funded because we are only partially funded by the provincial government,” Maroney says. “We rely on donations to cover costs like groceries and utility bills, education, those types of things.”
Maroney says this type of community engagement gives the public an opportunity to learn more about how they can get involved, either through volunteering or using the Hospice’s services.
