Turmoil continues to swirl around the Sydenham hospital.
The Sydenham board was recently informed that all CKHA activities are being suspended.
Sydenham Hospital Board Chair Sheldon Parsons says the problems stem from proposed changes to health care in Wallaceburg.
“(Those changes) significantly impacting on the emrgency services that are delieverd from the Sydenham campus,” says Parsons. “So we were unable to approve those reports and the other two boards to take rather extreme actions.”
Parsons likens the action by the other two boards to, “A take my ball and go home attitude.” He says there is a plan and it will be brought forward at the April 19th meeting at the UAW Hall in Wallaceburg.
