The province is announcing more support for smaller hospitals in Ontario.
$68-million is being added to the more than $384-million already included in the 2019 budget.
The new funding includes a province-wide increase in funding of one per cent for 66 small-sized hospitals, 1.5% for 23 medium-sized hospitals, and targeted funding to assist with unique situations and historical funding challenges.
No word yet on how much, if any, of that funding will be earmarked for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
