All last week – Jan. 17- 21 – 99.1 CKXS took dedicated, local community members and held them hostage in our studios!

Thanks to everyone who was a part of the second annual United Way Radio Hostage! $20,000 was raised for the United Way of Chatham-Kent and we couldn’t have done it without all of our dedicated community members and listeners!

Sure, the duct tape and handcuffs helped, but your pledges made this fundraiser more than TRIPLE the success it was last year!

Special thanks to our hostages:

Councillor Sheldon Parsons – $1,000+

Steve & Cheryl Bilodeau – $5,400+

John and Diane Mathany – $5,400+

Mark Davis and Kevin Hood – From the Wallaceburg Lakers – $5,000+

Councillor Leon LeClair – $2,400+
