A Wallaceburg woman who had overstayed her welcome at two local hotels has been arrested on an outstanding warrant.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said on June 28, 2021, police were called to a Chatham motel after a woman refused to leave when her stay had expired. When police attempted to escort her out, she allegedly punched and kicked one of the officers and was arrested.
The following month on July 23, police were called to a different Chatham hotel to remove the same woman. She was arrested again after allegedly throwing a piece of garbage at an officer’s face.
After allegedly failing to attend court, the woman was arrested a third time on Sunday on the outstanding warrant.
The 39-year-old Wallaceburg woman, who was previously charged with two counts of assaulting a police officer, is now charged with failing to attend court. She has been released with a new court date of April 13.
