
A documentary shining a light on human trafficking and intimate partner violence in Chatham-Kent will be shown in Wallaceburg tonight.
Produced by Kat and Karissa Strain, known professionally as The Sisters Strain, “The Coalition” is a documentary film that aims to educate the community about the rise of violence against women.
Made in partnership with Chatham-Kent’s Anti-Human Trafficking Coalition and the Chatham-Kent Coordinating Committee to End Violence Against Women, the film shows family members and survivors from across Ontario who share their firsthand, lived experience of human trafficking and femicide.
Tonight’s screening will be held at the Wallaceburg and District Museum in the Jeanne Gordon Hall. Doors open at 6:30, admission is by donation.
