Not bundling up for the cold weather has ultimately led to charges for a Dresden man.
The Ontario Provincial Police said an officer on patrol spotted the man walking in complete darkness on Communication Road south of Maynard Line, shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Authorities said the man was insufficiently dressed for weather conditions wearing thin clothing, along with open footwear and no socks.
Concerned for the man’s safety, the officer stopped to assist him. However, after verifying the man’s identity, it was discovered that he was allegedly violating the conditions of an existing release order.
As a result, the 30-year-old accused was arrested and is now charged with two counts of failing to comply with a release order. He was held for a bail hearing and then remanded into custody.
