A call from a concerned employee in Blenheim has landed a Chatham woman with impaired driving charges.
Shortly before 8 o’clock last night, Chatham-Kent Police received a report from a staff member at a Chatham Street South restaurant, suspecting a customer was under the influence of alcohol.
Authorities say the accused made a purchase, then left the premises.
Officers found the accused in her vehicle in the parking lot. A roadside test was administered, which police say the woman failed.
The 42-year-old was arrested and charged with driving while impaired and having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit.
The woman was released from custody with a date in court later this month.
