Impaired Driving Blamed For Hwy 402 Crash

A Sarnia woman is facing impaired driving charges after a crash on Highway 402 sent three people to hospital in Plympton-Wyoming.

The Ontario Provincial Police said emergency crews responded to the two-vehicle crash on the highway on April 1 at around 1 p.m.

Three people suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital by EMS.

When officers spoke to one of the drivers, police said it became apparent that she had been drinking. A roadside screening test was conducted and the driver was arrested.

A 28-year-old woman from Sarnia is now charged with operating a vehicle while impaired and having a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit. She has been released from custody with a future court date.
