Impaired Driving Charge Laid in Wallaceburg

Impaired driving charges have been laid following an incident in Wallaceburg over the weekend.

A Chatham-Kent Police officer on patrol spotted a vehicle run a red light and after pulling over the driver, suspected the man had been drinking.

The accused failed a roadside screening and was taken to police headquarters for more tests.

The 32-year-old from Wallaceburg has since been charged with having more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system and other Highway Traffic Act offences. He was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
