A Walpole Island resident is facing impaired driving charges after a single-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Lakeshore.
Emergency crews responded to County Road 42 near Gracey Side Road just before 8 o’clock Saturday evening.
According to Ontario Provincial Police, the 50-year-old driver was arrested and has been charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and drugs, driving with a blood alcohol level over 80 milligrams, and dangerous operation.
The accused was also issued a 90-day license suspension and had their vehicle impounded for seven days.
The Walpole Island man was released from custody with a court date in Windsor next month.
