A two-vehicle crash in a Chatham parking lot has led to an impaired driving charge for a local woman.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers responded to the collision at a parking lot on Grand Avenue West at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Authorities said one of the drivers showed signs of impairment and was given a roadside breath test, which registered a fail. The driver was arrested at the scene and taken to police headquarters for further tests.
As a result, a 31-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. She has since been released and will answer the charge in court later this month.
