A 38-year-old man had to sleep it off in a holding cell after he was allegedly found passed out in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers on patrol located a man passed out on Grand Avenue West shortly after 6 a.m. on Saturday.
When it was determined that the man was under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for himself, officers took the man to police headquarters.
The 38-year-old was lodged in a holding cell until sober and released with a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
