The municipality is inviting the public to help increase Chatham-Kent’s tree cover.
A motion was approved by council back at the end of June to develop a tree donation program where residents and businesses can make donations online.
It all stems from South Kent Councillor Anthony Ceccacci’s pledge last fall to plant one million trees across CK over the next four years.
All donations through the re-greening program will be specifically directed to increasing tree cover.
