Infection Control Lapse Reported At Chatham Nail Salon

Health officials are alerting the public about a lengthy lapse in infection control at a Chatham nail salon.

Chatham-Kent Public Health said it has identified a lengthy lapse in adequate equipment disinfection practices at MicroFleek on Queen Street.

The health unit warns that insufficient infection control procedures can increase the risk of transmitting blood-borne infections, such as HIV or Hepatitis, as well as bacterial or fungal infections of the skin or nails.

Those who received services at MicroFleek between December 1, 2024, and March 6, 2026, are encouraged to contact their family doctor to arrange a clinical assessment or visit a walk‑in clinic for evaluation.
