The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office has been called in to help with the investigation following a blaze in Chatham.
Crews from Stations 1 and 2 responded to a four-plex on Timmins Crescent just after 9:30 last night.
Officials say all of the residents were able to escape the building without incident, and fire fighters also managed to rescue a five-foot Python snake.
The flames were contained to one unit.
No word yet on the extent of damage done or what caused the fire.
Chatham-Kent Police are holding the scene as the investigation continues.
