Two local manufacturers have been awarded new provincial funding to support growth and create new jobs.
In response to Dajcor Aluminum investing $1,598,250 to boost local manufacturing and create 24 new jobs, the Ontario government is matching the investment through its Regional Development Program.
The funding will also be used to add new technology that will reduce the scrap rate and increase revenue for the Chatham-based company.
As well, the province is welcoming a $121,538 investment by Sinteris in Blenheim by matching the funds. The investment is expected to create six new jobs and help the company modernize and upgrade its manufacturing capabilities.
The Regional Development Program was launched in November 2019 to offer financial and advisory assistance to businesses, municipalities, and economic development organizations. This includes providing access to a variety of supportive services and resources.
