A not-for-profit IT group is being honoured for upgrading the information system at hospitals in Chatham-Kent and Windsor-Essex.

TransForm SSO has been named a winner of the prestigious CIO Awards for its work on a massive digital transformation project called the Cerner Millennium hospital information system.

The project was implemented at four hospitals, which included Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Erie Shores HealthCare, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Windsor Regional Hospital.

The hospital information system allows patient records to be shared and utilized at each hospital across the Erie St. Clair region, which maximizes efficiency for patients and staff.

According to TransForm SSO, the upgraded information system resulted in a 20 per cent increase in patient satisfaction at the four hospitals.

TransForm SSO will be recognized as one of the tech world’s most innovative organizations and accomplished leaders at CIO’s Future of Digital Innovation Summit and Awards Canada on November 29 and 30.
