Polls will be open today in 338 ridings across the country as Canadians choose the government to lead us through this pandemic.

It was an election the majority of Canadians didn’t want right now but the $650 million spectacle will end today.

Canadians across the country will be consulting the voter information cards they should have received in the mail to find out where they vote.

To cast a ballot today you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 18 years of age today and provide proper ID. You can use your driver’s license or government issued identification that includes your photo, name and current address.

You do not need to provide proof of vaccination but masks are mandatory.

Nearly six million Canadians voted in the advanced polls and more using mail in votes, but a steady turnout is still expected.

Polls in Ontario will be open from 9:30 am to 9:30 pm.

99.1 CKXS will begin election night coverage at 9pm, with updates on the results both locally in Lambton-Kent-Middlesex and Chatham-Kent-Leamington every half hour once the polls close at 9:30pm.
