Junior Achievement of Southwestern Ontario needs some help in funding is programs.
The local organization is looking to raise $225,000 in the next nine months.
Barb Smith, JA President says all the programs they offer are built around ‘three pillars.’
“Financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and work readiness,” Smith says. “We’re teaching kids skills about budgeting to live on their own, interviews dos and don’ts, how to job search. We’re talking about careers, we’re talking about how to be financially savvy, and we’re talking about entrepreneurship angles and understanding the importance of customer service.”
The fundraising campaign runs through June, 2017.
