Its a busy weekend for Chatham-Kent as a slew of local events are returning in-person, many for the first time since 2019.

The Chatham Kinsmen Fair returns to the fairgrounds at Memorial Arena on Tweedsmuir Ave in Chatham from Thursday, June 23rd to Sunday, June 26th. This all-ages event will have carnival rides, vendors, crafters and more. Admission is free and there is no gate fee. Advanced Ride Tickets available online at chathamkinsmen.ca.

Head on over to the Pain Court Truck and Tractor Pull under the water tower on June 24th at 7:00 pm. Admission is $20 and kids under 12 get in for free.

One of Southwestern Ontario’s best and biggest parades kicks off their festivities on June 24th at 6:30. The Thamesville Threshing Festival will run until the 25th with Ferguson Park hosting the midway, food trucks, vendors, and beer garden. There will be live entertainment all weekend including Big Shiny Toons on Friday night and Dirt Country on Saturday night. Advanced ride all day midway tickets are now available for sale at Thamesville Home Hardware for $25. All day ride tickets are $35 at the midway on the 24th and 25th.

Don’t miss Art in the Park on Talbot Trail Place in Blenheim on Saturday from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm. Come and stroll the park to see the artists, creators, and makers of several unique art pieces.

One of Chatham-Kent’s biggest events remains virtual this year, with plans to be back in-person in 2023. Check out the Festival of Giving virtual event on Saturday night from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm on Facebook Live. Break-out the grill and blender and gather your family for the exciting annual event happening in your own backyard. There will be entertainment, fun, and a few surprises all to help raise important funds needed for the Children’s Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent. Prepare to ‘Rock the Block’ with the Festival of Giving party bag- with each ticket purchased, guests will receive a FOG bag filled with goodies from local Chatham-Kent businesses, encouraging everyone to support local.
