A group of musicians from Chatham-Kent, Windsor, and London is teaming up once again this holiday season to help raise much-needed funds for two local organizations.
The Holiday Jam for Hunger returns to Sons of Kent Brewing Company in Chatham on December 28, with all proceeds raised going to Hope House – Mental Health Network of Chatham-Kent and Chatham Outreach for Hunger.
Headlining the event is the Soul Remedy Orchestra, with The Dave Trinca Xperience and 40 Hours Over also taking the stage.
“All of the participating musicians have strong connections to Chatham-Kent and generously share their talents to benefit Chatham-Kent organizations,” organizer Alysson Storey said in a news release. “With the news earlier this year from Chatham-Kent Public Health that 1 in 5 families in CK have to choose between food and rent every month, it’s clear the need is greater than ever.”
Since its inception in 2004, the annual Holiday Jam for Hunger has raised close to $34,000 for local charities.
The event starts at 7pm and admission is by donation.
