One of Chatham-Kent’s most prolific fundraisers is calling it a career.
The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation has announced its Executive Director, Jodi Maroney, will be retiring this spring.
Maroney has served nine years leading the Foundation, along with almost three years as Director of Development before the Hospice opened.
During her tenure, the Hospice Foundation raised $5.8 million dollars in its initial capital campaign, and over $15-million in operating costs to help care for over 1500 families and provide grief and bereavement support to over 1800 local residents at no cost.
“It has been a tremendous honour to be a part of the Chatham-Kent Hospice and Foundation over the years,” Maroney shared in a news release. “I have learned a lot of life lessons working at Hospice and the biggest one is that life is precious, so I intend on spending more time with my family and friends as I make the most of each day. I strongly believe in the work of the Hospice in our community and will continue to be a loyal supporter.”

She has inspired our team, cultivated valuable partnerships, and significantly advanced our impact in the community,” added Marian Redford, Chair of the Board of Directors for Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. “While her departure marks the end of an extraordinary chapter, we remain steadfast in our mission and vision for the future.”
Maroney’s last day on the job will be June 27.
The board of directors has established an Executive Director selection committee and has engaged Logic Executive Search and Workplace Solutions to initiate the recruitment process.
