COVENY, Mr. John – a resident of Dover Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, May 7, 2015. Born 76 years ago and raised in Electric, Ontario to the late Martel and Margaret Ethel Coveny. Beloved husband for 55 years of Gertrude (Emery). Loving father of Kerry and Greg Stone, Diane and Brad Blackburn, Tim, Christine and Wally Romansky, Patti Coveny and Brad Armstrong. He will be lovingly remembered by his 18 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren. Dear brother of Patricia and her late husband Tom Foster, Jackie and Ken Guertin, Mary Catherine and Ron Aarssen, Margaret Ann Luciuk, Maureen and Bill Davis, Clare and Ken Cadotte, Carmen and Tony Myers and Marian Coveny and Deb. Brother-in-law of Patricia and Maurice DeWolf and John and Colleen Emery. Predeceased by his brother Paul Coveny and Grandson Kevin. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and special friends Paul and Kym. John worked at Rockwell International in Chatham for 31 years. He had a love for gardening, farming, cutting wood, fishing and sports but his main passion was being surrounded by his family and friends where he would ensure they felt happy and loved. The late John Coveny rested at the ERIC F. NICHOLLS FUNERAL HOME LTD. , 639 Elgin Street, Wallaceburg until a Memorial Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, Murray St., Wallaceburg on Saturday, May 9th, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. with celebrant Father Chris Gillespie. Private Interment at Owen Cemetery, Dover Centre. Donations made in memory of John to the Chatham-Kent Hospice would be appreciated by the family. As a living memorial, a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of John Coveny
