A special open house is being held this afternoon to show off the John N Given Learning Centre.
The school on Churchill Street in Chatham was left vacant after students were shifted to Tecumseh Public School and McNaughton Avenue Public School in September.
The facility is now home to the Lambton Kent District School Board’s adult and continuing education program and alternative special education programs.
Board officials say there’s also some space set aside for community partnerships, providing a space to serve educators, students, and area residents for years to come.
Today’s open house runs from 2-6 this afternoon.
