A generous donation from a Junior Achievement program alum is helping to support students across the region.
Brad Geddes and the Geddes Family Foundation have provided a matching pledge to Junior Achievement South Western Ontario for its annual holiday giving campaign. Each donation made will be doubled up to $10,000.
Geddes, an alumnus of the JA Company Program, has been a long-time champion of the organization, supporting hands-on learning and opportunities for young people.
“I give Junior Achievement full credit for sparking the passion and desire I have to create and grow successful businesses,” Geddes said in a news release. “JA taught me the value of financial health, the importance of being prepared for the workplace, and —most importantly —what it takes to be an entrepreneur.”
All of the funds raised during this year’s holiday fundraiser will support free, hands-on Junior Achievement programs delivered in southwestern Ontario classrooms, helping students to build financial confidence, explore career pathways, and develop entrepreneurial thinking.
