Just One Active COVID Case Left at Fairfield Park

The COVID outbreak at Fairfield Park long term care is down to just one active case.

Officials at the Wallaceburg facility says all patient cases have been resolved and there’s just one staff member left with the virus.

Since the outbreak was declared on January 10th, 100 staff, patients, and essential caregivers have been infected.

Overall, Chatham-Kent’s active COVID caseload is holding steady at 17 with four new cases announced today along with four recoveries.

One more person has died from COVID-19 in the Windsor area. The county’s health unit is also reporting another 32 infections today.

Lambton County is reporting 10 new infections today.

And there’s been a bit of a jump in the provincial numbers with 1258 new cases today. The Ministry of Health is also reporting the death of another 28 deaths linked to the virus.
