Chatham-Kent’s Police K9 Unit is getting the credit for nabbing a would-be thief over the weekend.
Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in front of a St Clair Street business early Saturday morning, but when they approached, the vehicle sped off.
After a brief pursuit, the driver lost control and crashed into a tree, then fled on foot.
K9 Arry was brought in, and tracked the suspect to a nearby roof.
The 31-year-old was arrested and charged with several offences, including break and enter, flight from police, and dangerous operation of a vehicle.
