The Chatham-Kent police K9 unit needed to be called in to track down a Chatham man in Dover Centre Friday morning.
According to police the man allegedly fled the scene of a car crash just after midnight at Bear Line and Angler Rd.
The 49-year-old fled the scene and took refuge at a friend’s home.
He was arrested and charged. The other driver was taken to hospital as a precaution.
