Warmer weather and rain over the next few days is causing some concern for local waterways.

St Clair Region Conservation Authorities has extended its water safety bulletin with melting snow and ice.

There is the potential for minor ice jamming on both the St Clair and Sydenham River.

For its part, the LTVCA says the risk of general flooding along the Thames is low right now, but water levels could rise, causing some minor flooding in low-lying areas.

As always, area residents are asked to avoid rivers and streams as slippery banks and cold, fast moving water can be very dangerous.
