The Kent Federation of Agriculture is paying tribute to one of its long-time members.
Harry Lawson spent decades working with the Grain Farmers of Ontario and as a board member at the KFA before passing away last February.
A barbecue is being held on Saturday to honour his legacy. The event will include live and silent auctions with all proceeds going to the London Health Sciences Foundation.
Organizers say Lawson hoped to create an endowment of at least $50,000 to allow for the creation of scholarships to support doctors and nurses in the cardiac, transplant, and CCU departments.
Saturday’s event runs from 2-7pm at the Dawn-Euphemia Community Centre in Florence.
