A Blenheim teenager who was under a curfew is in even more trouble with police after allegedly causing a disturbance in Chatham.
The Chatham-Kent Police Service said officers began an investigation on October 3 for a report of mischief at a Delaware Avenue residence. Surveillance footage showed a youth attending the home two days prior at around 9:30 p.m. and kicking the door before running away.
Officers were able to identify the youth from a recent encounter and found that he was on a curfew condition prohibiting him from being outside of his residence between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Officers arrested a 14-year-old Blenheim youth on Tuesday at around 10:30 p.m. He is now charged with mischief and failing to comply with an undertaking. He was later released from custody with a January court date.
