Splash-Pad-10

Two new splash pads are officially open for summer use.

The Blenheim Rotary unveiled their Talbot Trail Place Saturday and Ridgetown’s Splash pad had a party all its own too.

The Kiwanis in Ridgetown were pivotal in getting the splash pad up and running and member Mary Anne Hawthorne says it’s great to see it in operation.

“It took less than a year to raise the money,” says Hawthorne. “Enbridge was our first donation of $15,000 and that was July of 2014 and then the community just came together, there are so many individual donations I just can’t mention how many there are.”

The new Ridgetown splash pad is right next to the pool in Stennett Park. Talbot Trail place takes up a whole block between Marlborough and Chatham Streets in Blenheim
