Drivers in Chatham will be facing some extra traffic headaches this week.
As part of the ongoing reconstruction project along King Street West, the intersection of King and Lacroix Street and the Lacroix Street Bridge will be completely closed starting at 7 o’clock this morning.
Municipal officials say all lanes will be closed for underground infrastructure replacement and road reconstruction.
The busy intersection is expected to reopen by 7pm on Monday, September 8, while work along King Street West between Lacroix and Second Street will continue for the next several months.
