Two people are facing drug trafficking charges after almost $50,000 worth of illicit drugs were seized from a residence in Kingsville.

The Ontario Provincial Police said officers executed a search warrant at a property on Pearl Street West on Friday.

During a search, offices seized suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine with a value of around $49,000.  Canadian currency along with a firearm and ammunition were also seized.

A 28-year-old and a 51-year-old from Kingsville were arrested at the scene without incident.

They are both charged with multiple counts of possession of a Schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and two counts of careless storage of a firearm.

The 28-year-old is additionally charged with possessing a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
