One day after announcing the discovery of human remains in Kingsville, Essex OPP say the case has been closed.
The remains were found by an excavating crew Tuesday afternoon. However, following a thorough examination by a forensic anthropologist, authorities say the remains have been determined to be historic in nature, and there will be no criminal investigation.
The bones have been reported to the Registrar Funeral Burial and Cremation Services of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, and the investigation is now over.
