A scary situation in Chatham this week.
Police were called to a home yesterday afternoon after a man allegedly broke a mirror during an argument with his wife.
However, when officers arrived the man was found a short distance away holding a knife. When the suspect wouldn’t drop the weapon, a taser was deployed. The accused then threw the knife at police, narrowly missing one officer’s face.
The 52-year-old was eventually subdued. He’s been charged with mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and assault with a weapon.
He was released from custody with a date in court later this month.
